In this Issue
collection of medical articles written by some of the finest physicians & medical professionals
Cancer is such a devastating disease. It destroys lives, rips apart families, and sometimes causes bankruptcy. It is not our friend! Therefore, we take every opportunity to shed light on programs, organizations, or groups that raise awareness or funds to fight this dreaded disease.

Our cover story features Eva LaRue of “CSI: Miami,” who is a spokesperson for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation. Eva lost both her grandmother and great-grandmother to ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is sneaky because its warning signs often mimic other ailments—backaches, bloating—symptoms that plague many women routinely. We are pleased to have Eva grace the cover of our winter issue, and eager to help her get the word out about this and all other forms of cancer. We wish her success in becoming the Foundation’s new spokesperson.

We are also excited to have Dr. Andrew Ordon back with us. He will be writing a monthly column on plastic surgery topics. Dr. Ordon is a full-time plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Beverly Hills and Rancho Mirage, California and appears on “The Doctors,” a daily TV show, which airs at 4:00 p.m. eastern time on CBS. We’re giving a shout-out to two other new columnists, Dr. Dave Moore and Bill Manville who contribute a daily column in the New York Daily Times. Dr. Moore is a licensed psychologist and chemical dependency professional who is a graduate school faculty member at Argosy University’s Seattle campus. Bill is a writer and recovered alcoholic. I believe all of our readers will find their articles enlightening as well as entertaining.

And, of course, we offer our usual collection of medical articles written by some of the finest physicians and medical professionals across the U.S. Prop up your feet up and get ready to dig into a rich variety of information that will help you live a more balanced life with good health, healing, and happiness.
