In this Issue
We love hearing from you and learning what you would like included in future issues of Radius.
What a line-up of health articles we have in this issue! Our medical writers should be commended for offering a myriad of information to help each of us avoid illnesses and to teach us how to treat them if we do become afflicted.
Dr. Van Hoy, optometrist, offers an interesting piece about eye trauma affecting our returning military. It’s good information to know if you have a loved one serving in the armed forces who may have suffered a head injury.
Summer is here and eczema is keeping you “under cover!” Not to worry, says Dr. Bushong, dermatologist, who has treatment ideas to get you out and “baring arms” once again.
Our Physical Therapist, Scott Kushner, offers a column to answer your questions about why you may be experiencing pain. Whether you have an injury stemming from a fall, shooting hoops, or just aging, Scott has the answer. Be sure to send your questions to Radius magazine to Scott’s attention so he can address your particular need. He is waiting to hear from you.
On the lighter side, our lifestyle writers have done a commendable job as well. Paula Loehr never fails to bring delight with her travel articles. In this issue, she takes us to three outstanding parks in various parts of the nation. I am always ready to pack my bags after reading her travel pieces.
Now is the time to begin an exercise routine, and Kirk and Nancy Lawrence, fitness trainers from the Hoosier state, offer exercises that you can do with a partner. So, grab your spouse or your best bud and get moving. You will be more easily motivated when you have a pal going on the journey with you.
Finally, we have Marsha Mason as our cover and feature this quarter. The Hollywood star, who made the role of the “Goodbye Girl” famous, left the world of entertainment to become a farmer of medicinal herbs. She uses biodynamics to grow her crops and claims a more abundant harvest by using the technique. Marsha was a great interview and very personable. I think we will see her name “in lights” once again …this time in New York. Watch for her performances when you travel to that part of the US.
Be sure to write to us. We love hearing from you and learning what you would like included in future issues of Radius. You can also visit us at www.radthemag.com, where you can follow us on Twitter and blogs.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
